I purchased two German Red Turquoise Discus, Red Base, and I absolutely love my new Discus. They made it here in perfect shape and the acclimation process was very simple if you follow Michael’s instructions. I cannot believe the beautiful colors, size and activity they bring to my South American planted Tetra tank (Large and in charge). My Discus began swimming around the entire aquarium as soon as they were released into the aquarium as if they owned it.

Never known anyone like Michael who communicates with you when needed in a timely manner but he really does care about how the fish are doing and keeping you on track to raise them the right way.

Michael has been great with giving me any advice I needed. I highly recommend you do not skip the Discus.com Learning Center no matter what your knowledge level may be. It is loaded with information you want find anywhere else on Discus, their water parameter, feeding, etc.

I started with a 20 gallon aquarium more than 40 years ago and have owned at least one to three tanks ever since. I’ve been keeping aquariums from freshwater to reef tanks for over 40 years and still continue to learn from the best. I’ve had everything from breeding assortments of Mollies to extensive reef tanks. I did Discus when I was a Technical Sergeant in the US Air Force in the dorm at Osan AFB, South Korea more than 30 years ago and fell in love with them then. This is my first experience with them in the States and I can assure you Michael is one of the best teachers on the planet.

Currently here acclimating the fish! This is a 200 gallon tank I set-up and scaped for a client, it currently has ember tetras, cardinal tetras (my client asked for more, so i bought more from you!), emerald dwarf rasboras, oto cats, and kuhli loaches. This tank is in the break room of an office building, and the name of the company is “Blue Ram Group” so my client wanted a group of blue rams.

Hi Michael!

Thank you so much for reaching out. I am Ruxin who’s bought Metronidazole from your shop. I have a discussion has been fading away for 3 month. She is extremely skinny now. And we used all kinds of methods: Cipro, copper, Potassium permanganate but they all don't seem to work.  We have been dosing the metro starting this Monday. Really hope this work as this is her last chance….

We suspect that our tank has hecamita all the time. Because our discus just keep dying one by one. Here are some photos of how she progresses.

Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated!

Best,

Ruxin
